What’s included?

We provide the boat, the captain, ice, cups and paper towels…and lots of fun!

What should I tip the Captain and the crew?

We encourage you to tip the Captain and Crew based on the great service you received. Things to consider: the crew supplies the ice and any unpaid extras that you request, they are working hard for your maximum safety and enjoyment.

Can I bring food and drink?

Yes! Bring whatever you fancy for food and drink. We supply ice, cups & paper towels so please remember to bring plates, utensils and condiments. There is room to keep your food and drinks cold or feel free to bring a small cooler. Please avoid large coolers. Anyone drinking alcohol must be 21 or older. We can supply light meals, cheese and fruit plates for a fee, just let us know what you would like when you make your reservation.

What should I wear

Always check the weather and remember on the lake it can be a few degrees cooler. Typically you’ll want to wear clothes for the weather and bring an extra layer as well as swim suit if you would like to swim. If it looks like it might sprinkle, a wind breaker will keep you dry. We do have blankets and extra jackets aboard! Sensible shoes are important too so always wear rubber soles (no black soles please), tennis shoes, deck shoes and sandals that strap on are all good choices. We do not recommend flip flops.

What should I bring?

Bring your sense of adventure, camera, food, drinks, sunscreen, sunglasses, swim suit, hat, towel, plates, utensils, condiments. No firearms or fireworks please.

Should I arrive ahead of time?

Please arrive no less than 10 minutes before sail time. Late arrival does not extend the trip so if you are late, the end time for the sail remains the same.

Can we go longer than 3 hours?

Sure, just give us a call to discuss your plans.

What if we want to extend after we get out there?

We are happy to extend trips if time permits. The hourly rate would apply and payment for the additional time will be made when we return to the dock.

What is our rescheduling / cancellation policy?

Rescheduling

-There will be a $100.00 fee to reschedule within 72 hours of sail time.

-There will be a $50.00 fee to reschedule prior to 72 hours of sail time

Cancellations

-No refunds will be given if you cancel within 72 hours of sail time

-There will be a $50.00 fee for any cancellations prior to 72 hours of sail time.

If TBSA cancels the sail due to weather, we will reschedule your sail.

What happens if it’s raining?

It’s amazing how many days we have read the weather report and it was absolutely wrong about rain! It happens all the time right? To ensure a comfortable sail, the TBSA captains will track weather and Doppler radar. If we must cancel a sail, we will let you know one hour or more before your sail time. If it rains while we’re on the water, it will be a light and usually pleasant rain (frankly a relief from the heat) and there are no refunds. If we must return to port due to weather, you will be able to reschedule the remaining portion of your sail if more than an hour sail time remains. We do everything we can to ensure you get maximum pleasure from your sail, but weather happens so always watch the forecast and consult your captain if you have any questions.

What if I get sea sick?

You want to have the best trip possible so if you or anyone in your party have a tendency to get sea sick there are a variety of methods to avoid sea sickness so just ask your pharmacist to recommend an over the counter remedy and take it in advance of your sail time. If we are on the water and someone experiences sea sickness, we will let you make the call to end the sail or bring them back to port and then continue the sail. There are no refunds or reschedules due to sea sickness.

What safety equipment is on board?

All coast guard required safety equipment is on board including first aid and our captains have CPR certification. Life jackets are provided for all persons. Children under age 10 are requested to wear life jackets at all times.

Are children allowed?

Children are welcome aboard. We require parents to monitor their activity aboard at all times. Children under 12 are requested to wear life jackets at all times. Children 5 and under are not encouraged…this is really the kind of adventure where you’ll have more fun if you leave infants with the baby sitter.
